Goal. Rose wins by building an unbroken chain of rose cells linking the top edge to the bottom. Teal wins by linking left to right. The four amber corners count for either side.

A turn. Place one disc of your colour on any empty cell. Rose goes first.

Flips. When you place a disc, look outward in each of the six directions. A straight run of enemy discs capped at the far end by one of your discs (no gaps) flips to your colour — Othello logic on a hex grid. Flips don’t chain, and a flip can complete your winning chain.

Pie rule. After Rose’s first move, Teal may swap — taking over the rose side and that opening — instead of replying. This removes first-move advantage.

No draws. Each turn fills exactly one cell, so a full board always has exactly one winner. Someone will connect.

The gap readout shows how many more stones each side needs to complete its circuit.
